  This is to warn all of my friends about a company working in the Lakeland, Winter Haven, Plant City area under the name of Conner Home Improvements, Inc. Their license is only in aluminum work under the name of Stephanie Conner, wife and business partner with Brad Conner along with an employee, Steve Staley. I paid this company $17,000. In Feb. 8 to remodel my flooring and kitchen. For them to start the job, I had to pay them another $16,500. In March. As of last week I only had defective flooring and a garage full of boxed cabinets that are not what I ordered. When I reported them to the permitting office in Bartow, Brad Conner called me and told me he had a general contractors license and he was pulling a permit to finish the job. This, too, was a lie, he is not licensed as a GC. I have contacted an attorney who has tried to contact Brad Conner to no avail. My attorney said I could sue them but chances are I will only get a judgment against Conner and a hefty atty. Fee and court costs. I have now contracted with Complete Kitchen and Bath who have a GC and will cost me another $37,500 to fix the defective work done and complete the job. I am filing complaints with the Florida licensing board to nullify the business license of Conner Home Improvement. Your prayers are needed, I am my witts end. Please share this with all your friends so they will not get screwed like I did.
